  • All asphalt shingles must be UL2218 Class 4 impact resistant shingles
  • Asphalt roofs shall have no more than two (2) layers
  • Drip edge/rake metal is required
  • Ice and water barrier is strongly recommended but not required

Inspections

  • A final inspection is required but no mid-roof inspection
  • A ladder is required for roof inspections. The ladder must be safe and sturdy and tied off securely by the contractor.
  • The top of the ladder must be no less than three feet (3’) above the roof’s edge. The ladder must provide access to all levels of the roof.
